May Professional Development Opportunities

Hi folks,

Here are the Professional Development opportunities we have coming up at CCCOnline in May:

Friday, April 3, 1:00 PM MST: Introducing the CCCOnline Master Course Template Webinar

This webinar will introduce the new master course template that CCCOnline will be implementing in future classes. This template will help ensure ease of navigation and consistency for students, as well as alignment with Quality Matters standards. (Please note that registration for this webinar is not required for CCCOnline instructors, as login information will be sent to the faculty distribution list.)

Friday, May 17, 10:00 AM MST: Math Student Engagement Webinar

In this webinar, members of the CCCOnline Math Department will talk about ways to increase student engagement in online math classes.  We will cover techniques in discussions, homework, news posts, and other strategies to provide students the best (and most enjoyable) chance of success.

Monday, May 20 - Saturday, May 25: Remote Labs Workshop

This one-week workshop will serve as an introduction to using NANSLO's RWSL (Remote Web-based Science Laboratory). Participants will learn about the history of remote laboratories, about how to use them in the classroom, and gain valuable experience by participating in a remote lab activity.

You can register for these sessions now on the Training and Professional Development Database. Note that registration for webinars closes 24 hours in advance of the session, and registration for workshops closes 10 days in advance of the session. Please send any questions about these sessions to training@ccconline.org.
